About MeJo Gordon studied at Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen and the Royal College of Art, London. She has worked with a number of cutting-edge designers such as Hussein Chalayan and Comme des Garcons. In 1997 she was short-listed for The Jerwood Prize for Applied Arts, Textiles.

Kiss of Death, a sinister bonnet with a feather ruff, suggests the dark undercurrent apparent in many contemporary textiles. Gordon's innovative and challenging approach to personal accessories brings fashion into the realms of sculpture.

Art Chat is an engaging series of short audio and video interpretations offering young people’s perspectives of artworks and objects in our collection. Alongside the image of this object you can now watch the interpretation of Gordon's work by learners from Aberdeen Grammar School.
