General History:
27/09/1933: Builder's certificate issued.
April 1943, during World War II the Aberden coaster DEEMOUNT was requisitioned for war work. Under Captain John MacIntosh the DEEMOUNT served as a supply vessel during Operation Overlord 6 June 1944, landing vital medical and military supplies first to Sword Beach and then to the American troops on Utah beach. Captain MacIntosh received an MBE in January 1945.
12/11/1955: At 22:10 hours collision occurred between BANNPRICE and the Swedish motor tanker JUNO in the river Mersey. The BANNPRICE sank in minutes and all crew members were rescued from the water, however the 2nd Engineer James Ferris from Northern Ireland, later died from the effects of immersion.
Wreck sold to Dutch ship breakers April 1956.
