After the launch a company of about sixty ladies and gentlemen repaired to a loft and celebrated the event with banquet. Mr William Hall occupied the chair, and Mr Muir acted as croupier, and among the owners present were Captain Mackie, Mr Ferguson, banker, Dundee; Baillie Reid, Arbroath; and Captain Tough. “Success to the Elliot” was heartily pledged, and with other appropriate toasts a pleasant hour was spent.
