About MeAlan Davie is widely regarded in Europe and the USA as a major figure in the art of the second half of the 20th Century. Davie is a highly individual painter: throughout his long career he has remained largely unaffected by the work of other contemporary artists. His paintings relate more to his diversity of interests which include primitive and ancient art, Zen Buddhism, music, and gliding.

This print is one of a group of four prints by various artists. Entitled The Haymarket Suite, the four prints, by Davie, Bruce Mclean, Adrian Wiszniewski and John Bellany, were created at Peacock Printmakers in Aberdeen.
