About MeCard designed by Ian Hamilton Finlay and printed by the Wild Hawthorn Press. It dates to 1987 and depicts a gory line drawing of a decapitated head in a gallows. The text "HEAD" AND "LEY" (a play on the surname of Gwyn Headley, author of "Follies, A National Trust Guide") is incorporated into the image, which is accompanied by the caption "Terror is the piety of the Revolution".

This work is part of an archive that belonged to Joyce Laing, OBE. The artist, Ian Hamilton Finlay, was a personal friend and sent her an example of each new poem print and multiple as it was made.
