About MeArtists' book with maroon card cover containing various re-definitions of words such as bee, mandolin, pilaster and zimmerit. The definitions are written by Ian Hamilton Finlay and they emulate the form of a dictionary. Beneath each definition is a quote relating to it, taken from written works by Palladio, Hegel, Alberti and Hesiod et al. The book is 15 pages, bound with glue and thread, presented within a white envelope with "To Joyce xxx" handwritten on the front in coloured ink. This book is number 28 out of an edition of 150 and is signed by Ian Hamilton Finlay on the back page.This book is part of an archive that belonged to Joyce Laing OBE. The artist, Ian Hamilton Finlay, was a personal friend and sent her an example of each new poem print and multiple as it was made.
