About MeGlass negative looking up Shiprow with a woman standing in the doorway of Provost Ross' House.

The woman stands wearing a long skirt and a shawl in the lower right hand corner of the image, looking to camera. Shiprow curves away and slightly to the right, with raised pavements and tall buildings on either side. The street is paved with setts (cassies). Two (gas?) lamps are visible attached to the buildings. Two signs are visible but not quite legible; one may be "C STEPHEN".
