The skirt hangs very straight and is pleated around the sides and the back. The centre front features a flat panel. There are black and gold beaded braid strips running horizontally below the waist and vertically down the edges of the centre panel and on the edges of the slits at the hem.
This ensemble epitomises the elegant tailoring Bill Gibb was renowned for designing. He loved to work with silk and both pieces are typically decorated with beadwork another signature element found on many of his garments.
