Bill Gibb loved to work with lace. He was a Romantic in terms of his designs and lace was the ultimate Romantic fabric. Typical of many of his creations he has teamed up different fabrics to form varying levels of texture. Here we have tow types of lace with broderie anglaise and some pink silk ribbon trim. Another characteristic of his work can be seen in the combination of the lace and the appliqued design. The lace already features a very busy pattern. The addition of appliqued panels on top of this creates further impact.
