About MeThis collar is made up of 49 panels sewn together. It would have been worn by a Chinese bride on her wedding day. The embroidered phoenix is a symbol of beauty and life after death. There are also embroidered butterflies which signify love and joy. The designs embroidered on the panels are outlined in gold thread.
