About MeIn this dramatic painting, Gibbons has applied a rather fierce approach to her work that is clearly inspired by the Norwegian artist Edward Munch. The background of the piece is a rhythm of swirling lines that merge with each other, creating movement and atmosphere. The nude is virtually camouflaged within the background and the shadowy areas of the figure are depicted as a shapeless area of darkness.
