About MeCinnamon serge fitted hip-length tailored fitted jacket shown with matching knee-length skirt. The jacket has pleated pocket fronts, and follows the prevalent fashion for square shoulders.

Under Utility Scheme regulations non-essential, decorative pockets were banned on clothing during the war. Here a little more fabric has been allowed on this post-war tailored suit for the pleated pockets on the front of the jacket. As a result the suit was probably a little more expensive, but it was bought for a special occasion by the guest of a local wedding.
More About Me
During World War II Utility Scheme regulations banned non-essential clothing decoration. Tailored postwar for a guest at a local wedding, the pockets then got pleats!
