About MeThere were restrictions placed on trimmings and pleats on Utility Scheme garments. However, with this black crepe evening dress the dressmaker has saved fabric by omitting a collar, which has allowed her to include a pleated cross-over bodice. Designers and dressmakers did succeed in introducing other elements of glamour by adding touches of embroidery.
