About MeModel of an Aberdeen Clipper Ship. One of a series of half hull models sent by Halls for an international exhibition at Glasgow in the 1880's. Halls sent 8 models to the exhibition, all of vessels that were early examples of their type or Clippers with their distinctive pointed bow.
SCOTTISH MAID, a two masted schooner, can be seen as the prototype for the famous Clipper Ships that were built in Aberdeen in the middle decades of the 19th century. SCOTTISH MAID had a sister, built three years later which went by the name of NONSUCH.
