About MeBritish artist Walter Richard Sickert spent a great deal of time in Dieppe throughout his career, often during the summer. Two versions of this painting exist - the other has a vertical format. The vibrant, broken brushstrokes and patches of pure colour convey a feeling of both warmth and light and demonstrate his knowledge of the work of the French Impressionists. Such paintings earned Sickert the title 'Canaletto of Dieppe.'ADOPT AN ARTWORK. This artwork is available for Adoption. To find out more please email AAGMSupport-Us@aberdeencity.gov.uk
