Ironically this combination of the sumptuous chocolate, almost purple, velvet trimmed with white fur is reminiscent of the garments also worn by royalty to ceremonial occasions. This outfit was purchased from Morrisons of Aberdeen by the donor and worn to a local wedding in the 1950s.
