About MeAn electric drilling machine manufactured by the Soag Machine Company of London, made of steel and is bolted to a wooden platform.

This machine was used at the principal office of the Clydesdale Bank in Aberdeen (originally the Clydesdale and North of Scotland Bank) from the 1950s to the 1970s to cancel banknotes withdrawn from circulation. Piles of withdrawn banknotes were placed over the wooden platform beneath the drill head and drilled through.
