About MeBright orange shouldered vase from Poole Pottery's best selling 'Delphis' series. The range was launched in 1963 at the height of modernism. Pottery blanks were hand painted by artists, mostly women and many art college trained. This piece was decorated by Ros Sommerfelt who trained in design at Loughborough College of Art & Design. The Delphis range was marketed as being unique - no two pieces the same, although the shapes were repeatable.
