About MeBlue and white ginger jar and cover with dragon, bat and cloud decoration. The bat is the symbol of happiness. The Chinese dragon symbolises authority, strength, wisdom, goodness and by association, the Emperor. From the 18th century onwards, the Chinese manufactured blue and white for export in vast quantities, particularly from the kilns at Jingdezhen.James Cromar Watt
