About MeAt the age of 22, Mitchell abandoned his legal ambitions and entered Edinburgh College of Art. He later trained under Benjamin Constant in Paris. In 1901 he visited Galloway where he developed a fascination for changeable skies and large expanses of rolling countryside. He painted these with great skill and a strong feeling of light and shadow. In 1904 he moved to Corstorphine where his change in location affected his art and his paintings became more pensive.More About Me
