About MeOne of a series of images taken by Mr Lemmon. This shows the Canadian built semi submersible drilling rig in the North Sea.
The image here shows divers being lowered inside their pressurised bell.

Sedco 135G was a triangular shaped rig which was built for exploration work off the Australian coast. It came to the North Sea in 1976 and worked off the Scottish coast until 1979, when it was moved to Angola, and subsequently other areas off West Africa.

In 1979 it was involved in a major blowout and subsequent pollution of the coast whilst at work in the Gulf of Mexico. It has recently (2020) undergone conversion to become a dewatering plant.
