About MeCream suede pith helmet with spike.

The pith helmet is so named because it is made from the pith of spongewood trees. They were also known around 1861 as 'cork' helmets. These helmets were worn in hot countries such as India as they offered protection from the sun. This also earned them the name of 'solar' helmets.
