About MeSheffield-based Keith Tyssen designs modern pewter-ware in a series of small editions using methods of hand-skilled production by craftspeople in his local area. He works towards a minimal look, with a strong, solid substantial appearance. The bowl is a double skin construction and which began life as two large flat discs of sheet pewter. The discs are formed up by hand-touch pressure over a rotating former - a bit like a potter making a vessel on a wheel. The foot is carefully soldered on before buffing.

More About Me
This bowl started from two pewter discs shaped by hand on a “former”, then soldered together and buffed.
