About MeTracey Johnstone studied at Gray's School of Art and has won numerous awards, including the John Kinross Scholarship to Florence, in 1992.

Her sojourn in Italy was the inspiration for this painting, of which she wrote: "The sources for this work come from an interest in Italian religious art and architecture, Greek classical art and the landscape. The composition is strongly composed to enhance the feeling of balance and harmony…the title 'Sacred Heart' was given to play on the image as a whole."
