About MeThis painting is an unusual example of Cassie's work, as interior scenes by the artist are very rare. The painting is also interesting as it shows a real working kitchen at a time when artists painting interiors preferred to depict imaginary rooms.Interest in the painting is also heightened by the fact that Cassie's example of a domestic interior appeared before the Dutch influenced work of George Paul Chalmers and Hugh Cameron.
The exterior of Barra can be viewed in the painting hanging above.
