About MeRobert Brough, being the illegitimate son of a working Aberdeen maid, was brought up by the family of his uncle and became a "much loved older brother." At school he was also well-liked and was reasonably intelligent. Later on in life he studied at the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh, and also travelled abroad quite regularly to develop his unique, essentially Post Impressionist style. He died aged only 33 in a train crash just outside of Sheffield.

This is the dictionary Brough used in school and still has his scribblings of arithmetic on the first and last pages.
