Note 1: It may be that the vessel was ordered by Brown & Co., with Anderson acting as agent, and the vessel was registered at Aberdeen for delivery to Hobart.
Note 2: Samuel Tulloch (1815-1904) was a Shetlander from Northmavine, resident at Launceston. He had the STAR OF TASMANIA built by A. Hall in 1856 (figurehead in A.M.M.) and STAR OF VICTORIA built by John Smith in 1862.
Note 3: The vessel is not recorded as ever being under the Orient Line flag, but rather being owned by Anderson & Anderson, the owners of the Orient Line.
Note 4: Some records have the vessel being beached and allowed to rot away after its sale to the Newcastle owners.
