03/07/1820:
Aberdeen - The fine brig BARBARA, Wilson master, of this place, supposed to be lost, was spoke off Rattray Head, 3 months from St. Johns, New Brunswick for Dundee, having sailed last day of November. She got into Lerwick on 22 February after 83 days at sea during which, Capt. Wilson writes, he had experienced the most tempestuous weather, so that himself and the crew were very nearly exausted in consequence of extreme fatigue, increased by want of provisions. They were for some time reduced to an allowance of 8 buiscuits and a little water to each man per day.
