Moorcroft

Stoke-on-Trent, England, founded 1913
About MeAfter William Moorcroft left MacIntyre's in 1913, he established his own art pottery at Cobridge in Staffordshire. The factory continues to produce its distinctive wares today.
Moorcroft initially entered into a partnership with the London store Liberty & Co. The production was mainly hand thrown, slip-trailed and decorated with rich glossy glazes. A number of new styles were introduced, including Pansy, Pomegranate, Toadstool and Tree. Alongside these very decorative patterns, Moorcroft also experimented with lustrewares, showing several brilliant colours at British Industries Fair of 1918.
