J Macintyre and Company

About MeJames Macintyre worked at Burslem, Stoke, from 1852, and following his death the firm continued to trade under his name. From 1897 onwards William Moorcroft headed up an Art Pottery studio as designer. A year later he was appointed manager of Oriental Ware. Moorcroft left Macintyre & Co when the company decided to discontinue production of Art Pottery in 1912.
