HistoryPoet and Author. In 1357 he became the Archdeacon of St Machar's Cathedral, Aberdeen, and travelled frequently to Oxford to study. He was the author of the metrical The Brus, a life of Robert the Bruce and the now lost A Chronicle of Scottish History.
