While on a voyage Grangemouth to Seaham in ballast under Capt. C. McIntosh with a crew of 10 collided with another Sunderland registered vessel, PROMETHEUS, and sank, approximately 1.5 miles South East of Whitburn, Sourter Point, north of Seaham.
