About MeThis Chinese blue and white porcelain saucer is decorated with a river scene, islands and houses inside a decorative border.

The term ‘blue and white’ consists of a cobalt-blue underglaze decoration laid over the white porcelain body with a transparent glaze.

Blue and white ceramics were exported from China to Europe from the 17th century onwards and were widely imitated by European porcelain companies.
