About MeHitomi Hosono’s experience is rooted in both Japanese and European traditions.
She graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2009 and worked as a ceramics intern with the Wedgwood firm.
This moulded and hand-built porcelain box, with gold leaf interior, is created from sprigs of wisteria to resemble the black Basalt ware developed by Wedgwood in the 18th century.
More About Me
Hisono deals with very intricate detailing of botanical forms, large pieces of her work like this one may take over a year and a half to complete!
