About MeCorrespondence from James McBey to Marguerite McBey, dated 28 July 1933, sent from London. Addressed to "Swyti", McBey writes that Marguerite's letter came this morning, and her wire sometime in the late afternoon, and that he is replying to both through this letter.

He says he is glad everything is working alright; he had visions of the tent being ripped. He refers to Cornwall - perhaps Marguerite is there.

McBey describes his weekend, meeting a man, even whose "garage is built like a cathedral", who helped with directions. He claims that Putnam has written to him about a book.

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this letter.
