About MeIn October 1863 George Washington Wilson took this photograph of Queen Victoria seated on her pony Fyvie. Accompanying her was John Brown at the pony's head and John Grant on the right. This image was probably Wilson's most famous portrait of the Queen. He latered cropped it to exclude Grant and issued it to the public in portrait format.
More About Me
George Washington Wilson first came to the notice of the Royal Family when he was contracted to record the expansion of Balmoral Castle in 1854. This is perhaps the most famous of his Royal portraits.
