About MeMarianne Berg was born in Norway and was one of David Andersen’s ‘in house’ designers who worked for the company from the late 1950s until the late 1970s.

This brooch is related to the Troll Series of jewellery, a collection of cast pieces of jewellery characterised by a new sense of simplicity and the use of gemstones found in Norway.

The jewellery in this series of work was not intended to impress or provide evidence of the economic status of the wearer. Rather, it expressed an idea of simple beauty coming from the materials themselves.

More About Me
This brooch was designed by Marianne Berg who was born in Norway. The vivid blue of the enamel is reminiscent of the water in the Norwegian fjords.
