About MeJoe Stollery is a composer currently studying for a PhD in Music at the University of Aberdeen. He has written for a wide variety of ensembles, mostly instrumental, but also including art songs and a handful of chamber operas.

The micro commission acts as a means to express the composer’s interest in responding to another artistic medium, in this case primarily as an attempt to convey a static visual image in the temporal form of music, but also to reflect upon a local natural landscape and its features.
