About MeModel of an Aberdeen Clipper Ship. One of a series of half hull models sent by Halls for an international exhibition at Glasgow in the 1880's. Halls sent 8 models to the exhibition, all of vessels that were early examples of their type or Clippers with their distinctive pointed bow.
VISION was built using the relatively new technique of fitting the planking of the hull diagonally to the ribs rather than horizontally as had been the tradition.
