About MeThis blue stoneware vase has a pointed edge on the left and right. There is a triangular cut out section on the lower centre of the front and reverse surmounted by a small roundel. This vase has a salt glaze created by introducing salt (usually common salt) into the kiln fire. This creates the characteristic orange-peel, mottled or pin-holed surface.
Walter Keeler's salt glaze pottery is influenced by early Staffordshire creamware.
