About MeThis porcelain slim beaker is of slightly waisted form, flaring towards the rim.
It is covered all over in a soda vapour glaze resulting in a pearl white becoming pale turquoise blue around the circular stamps incised around the body. This decoration is a result of the copper carbonate applied into the impressed circular marks.
Jack Doherty established his first ceramic studio in County Armagh, before moving to England. Between 2008 and 2013 he was the first Lead Potter and Creative Director at the refurbished Leach Pottery, St Ives where he designed a range of soda-fired tableware. He currently lives and works in Cornwall and is well known for his elegant porcelain wares.
