About MeThe design on the £20 is an enlarged version of that on the £1 : the note is green on a pink ground and the design inlcludes a watermark which shows the head of William Wallace copied from the famous statue situated near Union Terrace Gardens in Aberdeen.

A completely new set of notes engraved by Thomas de la Rue and Company for the North of Scotland Bank was first issued in 1939.
