About MeRobert Colquhoun and Robert MacBryde shared a neighbouring studio to that of Jankel Adler in London in 1941. The influence of the Polish artist is evident in the similar subject matter and in the schematic treatment of forms. Adler encouraged Colquhoun to move away from landscape painting and to concentrate purely on the figure. Like Adler, Colquhoun's work is reminiscent of the work of Picasso's Cubist period.More About Me
