About MeThis sketch of the Generalife palace, in the Alhambra, probably dates from Sargent's second visit there, which took place during the summer of 1912. Sargent spent September, October and November in Granada with his sister Emily and his friends the de Glehns, painting at both the hospital and the Alhambra and concentrating on fountains, sculpture and architectural details in outdoor scenes that were devoid of figures or narrative detail.
