About MeThis linen cross stitch and eyelet stitch sampler worked in wool was made by Margaret Seton aged 8 years in Aberdeen in the early 19th century.
The upper section comprises upper and lower case alphabets, numerals and family initials interspersed with bands of various stitch patterns.
There is a religious verse in the centre.
The lower section comprises various motifs including a red house with a white roof and two red chimneys, garden, birds, apple tree, peacock, heart, flower, vase with flowers, dog, key, coronet, and a girl with her hand raised.
