About MeA circular token which is inscribed on both sides: Side1: Woodside Church; Side 2: This Do in Remembrance of Me (The Side 2 inscription quotes the words of Jesus from Luke's Gospel, chapter 22 in the Authorised Version of the Bible)

The first church to be erected to serve the growing northern suburb of Woodside was a small chapel opened by the Congregationalist denomination in 1819. This, however, did nothing to help the majority of the area's population who were Presbyterian.

Following a lengthy campaign a large, new Church, designed by Archibald Simpson, was opened as a Chapel of Ease, belonging to the parish of Oldmachar, in May 1830.
