About MeThis magnificent complex necklace of festooned chains is interspersed with tiny freshwater pearls and turquoise drops suspended from foiled enamel plaques. The plaques take the form of exquisite birds with flapping wings shaded from palest to darkest aquamarine blue enamel. Watt exploited his mastery of the foiled enamel technique to achieve this variation and richness of colour. The enamel is built up layer upon layer, each individually fired, over a ground of bright metal or foil, so achieving a textured effect.More About Me
Cromar Watt's work was influenced by ancient classical techniques as well as the Arts and Crafts movement.
