Influenced by her environment and the relationship of her culture and nature, the artist has used the motif of seaweed to embellish this vessel. The box is formed from hand pierced sheet metal pinned to an oval base and studded with small pins and applied cast seaweed forms. The treatment of punching holes through metal demonstrates a preoccupation with the effects of light.
