About MeRebecca de Quin graduated from the Royal College of Art in London in nineteen-ninety, and since then has combined silversmithing practice with teaching. In her recent work, she has concentrated on jug shapes and pouring vessels. The model is almost an exact proto-type for the finished piece, but does not have a base. The inexpensive materials have been painted to give an impression of the finished work. The finished Leaning Jug 2005 and the working drawings are also in the gallery collection.

Is this piece art or design? Would it function as a jug and does that even matter?
