Liverpool Police Court - Henry Potter was sent to gaol for one month for stealing some beef from the ship DUNKELD, then lying in the Brunswick Dock. The prisoner was second mate aboard the vessel.

A cable message received at Lloyd's from Singapore announces the loss of the well-known barque DUNKELD, while voyage from Newcastle to Singapore with a cargo of coals. She has been totally wrecked in Gaspar Straits. Crew saved.
